Questions You Should Not Be Asking Your Mortgage Brokers
As professionals, mortgage brokers in Brisbane will do everything they can to ensure that all your queries will be responded to accordingly. On the other hand, yes, they will ensure that you are in the know of everything related to the mortgage, but other than that or questions not related to your mortgage is something that they would not want to entertain.
Yes, you can come very comfortable with them, actually, that is the goal, but being too friendly or asking them questions that are beyond what you supposed to be asking is not ideal. They may sometimes feel offended or may not see it as professional questions to ask. They will not tell you straight out or will not be rude to you of course, as they want to maintain a good relationship, but as clients, you better know up to what extent can you intrude into their personal lives.
What is your sexual preference?
A question that you should not be asking at all even to non-mortgage brokers. This question is too personal to ask and should never be asked. It is none of your business knowing what they want in life. They will just smile if asked this question but may feel offended. Be a bit sensitive, even if the question will be thrown as a joke, still it might be an offensive message for them.
What is your religion?
Their religion would not in any way affect your mortgage application. Your mortgage brokers may be coming from a different religion as yours or you may both have a different belief but one thing is for sure, you are on the same goal and that is for your mortgage to be approved. Some may see religion as sacred, thus asking them this question is not suitable at all.
What is your political stand?
This may just end up with a disagreement, then discussions. Better keep off from asking questions as such. Avoid discussion about politics, this won’t help you in getting a mortgage.
How much will you get from my mortgage loan application if in case approved?
This is absolutely none of your business. They are helping you to get a mortgage loan, and that should be more than enough for you to get. Do not ask them this question, this is something that they won’t definitely disclose. They are making a living from mortgages, thus better leave it at that.
